Why Indiwi and not someone else?

Of course it’s difficult to say. There are so many great associations and ideas that deserve to be considered. Nevertheless, Indiwi is something special. We have been pioneers in the field of inclusion in connection with extracurricular work and travel for years. We are successful and sustainable in what we do, but we are a small association. Despite our successes, it is therefore difficult to compete with large organizations such as Caritas, Diakonie, AWO, Lebenshilfe, DRK, etc. The donation market is very competitive and we are all the more pleased that you have found us. Take your time with your decision, read the contents of this page, browse and ask us. We want convinced donors who will not regret their decision later.
What kind of strange donation form is this?

The site betterplace.org provides the form to charitable initiatives free of charge. They are financed by additional donations that you can make via the form. This is voluntary, which means that your donations to us only benefit us. In addition, there is of course no misuse of data or anything else. Betterplace has already paid out donations to us many times and is considered to be highly reputable. The advantage of the form is the many different payment options. Of course, you can also make a normal donation by transferring money to our account.

What do I donate for?

Your donation will be used exclusively and 100% for our inclusive children and youth projects. If you would like your donation to be earmarked for a specific project or campaign, please let us know here. Are you wondering how it is possible to manage donations completely without administrative costs? Thanks to our fantastic board of directors, who do it all on a voluntary basis. The professional educational team then implements the projects effectively. Due to our non-profit status, we are also obliged to use the donations for the purposes of the association, i.e. to promote inclusive work with children and young people, in accordance with our statutes.
How do I know my donation is having an impact?

We were examined by the independent analysis firm Phineo between September 2013 and September 2014. Nationwide, only 15 inclusive initiatives met the criteria to receive the Impact Seal. In addition to this external assessment, the almost exclusively positive feedback from visitors and parents is important to us. And of course, we also invite everyone to get to know us personally.
What exactly happens with the donations?

In many cases, we use donations to purchase materials. Sustainability is particularly important to us. Therefore, we only purchase high-quality, long-lasting equipment for our trips that will bring joy to participants for many years. We have also purchased consumables for crafts, smaller tools, sewing machines for the Design Academy, and new pots in recent years. Donations are also used to enable trips for children with special needs. Public authorities are not always quick or cooperative enough to make this possible. It is therefore wonderful to be able to use donations to enable these participants to travel.
Is there something for me too?
Can I deduct the donations from my taxes?

Of course. We are recognized as a non-profit organization and can therefore issue you with a donation receipt or donation certificate. A receipt or proof of donation on your bank statement is sufficient for tax purposes up to a donation (single donation) of 100 euros. For donations of 100 euros or more, we will issue you with a donation receipt, which also states the purpose of the donation and other details.

Accessibility

Our facility is located on the 3rd floor and is accessible by elevator. The elevator is operated with a key – please ring the bell downstairs. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet, handrails in the corridor and signage with simple symbols. The nearest subway stations Kochstraße (U6) and Spittelmarkt (U2) are barrier-free.
